ANOINTING OPERATE( Old and New testament )

Anointing with oil is mentioned once in connection with sickness ,but it's the place there was evidently as a religious ceremony.

In the old testament, oil was the symbol of the gift of the Holy Spirit."The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me" ,(Isaiah 61(1)

In the old testament,the anointing destroy the yoke (weapon of enemy)"The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing "(Isaiah 10(27)

In the New  testament it is said about our Lord Jesus Christ "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power"(Acts 10(38)

In the new testament it is said to  the believers"Ye have an anointing from the Holy one".

The anointing, therefore, should symbolise to the sick one the action of the Holy Spirit who gives the healing.All those who were called to the special service of God were to be anointed with oil, as a token of their consecration to God and of  the grace that they would receive from Him to fulfill their mission.
Let us hunger for the anointing , Bible say's in 2corinthians 1(21) Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
Lord we need more anointing so that every area in our life ,we will be set free .
